Model Data Privacy Agreement Information

The 91做厙 maintains a state-wide membership to the national education consortium, Access for Learning (A4L).泭 The membership allows New York educational agencies to use A4Ls National Data Protection Agreement (NDPA), a standard DPA that meets the requirements of Education Law 禮 2-d and the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA).泭 Schools that are interested in participating in the NDPA should work with their Regional Information Center (RIC) to get onboarded.

For circumstances where the NDPA does not meet an educational agencys needs, the Privacy Office provides the model DPA and instructions below.泭 Please note that the model DPA and instructions do not represent legal advice.泭 Educational agencies should consult their attorney for any legal questions.
