Professional Coaching License

If an individual holds a valid New York State Teaching, School Leader, or Pupil Personnel Service certificate they may be appointed (without a valid Coaching certificate) as a temporary coach. If you are appointed as a temporary coach by a school, you do not need to apply for a coaching license or submit documentation to your 91°µÍø TEACH account. Coaching-related documents should be monitored at the local level and not sent to 91°µÍø. Documents that are sent to 91°µÍø will not be uploaded to the TEACH account.

If you held at least three temporary coaching licenses in the same sport and have at least three seasons coaching under those temporary licenses, you may be eligible for a Professional Coaching License in the same sport as the temporary license.
